A good cop never goes past the line in pursuit of truth and justice.”

When Miami Police Detective Blake Cutter’s wife is killed in a mafia-planted car bomb, revenge will take him past the line.  As obsession with tracking his wife’s killer jeopardizes the investigation, he is transferred to a rehabilitative assignment in a small Georgia town.  Still struggling to recover, his investigation of a suspicious drowning of real estate mogul Phillip Drummond during an evening clipper yacht cruise, leads Cutter into a tangled web of intrigue and deception.

When the drowning turns to a homicide investigation, Cutter becomes romantically involved with Penelope Lane, a suspect who just happens to be a spitting image of his late wife.  A seductive weekend in the Cayman Islands reveals Penelope’s psychotic past.  Soon Cutter realizes that Penelope is the only link between Drummond and the mafia head responsible for his late wife’s death.  Keeping Penelope safe from the mob is his only chance to bring his wife’s killer to justice.  When Penelope is kidnapped while under police protection, Cutter must put his career in jeopardy by leading an unsanctioned raid to rescue her and take down the mob organization.

It’s a desperate race against time.  He has less than forty-eight hours before the case is commandeered by a federal agent with a hidden agenda.

For Blake Cutter, it means going Past The Line
